RANA is a non-profit organization of the Indo-Canadian Community from Rajasthan State of India.
Rajasthan State/Province is in the Northwestern part of the Indian subcontinent. It is the largest State of India. The Province is Land of Kings (Raj- King, Sthan-Land/Place) with rich cultural heritage which dates to Indus Valley Civilization. It is known for its valor,dignity, humility and integrity. March30 is celebrated as Rajasthan Day.It is also the Land of Havelis dotted with majestic forts. In addition to it Rajasthan is well endowed with rich art, culture, literature, folk dance,National Parks, flora and fauna.
It was established in 2007. It has actively been engaged in promoting Culture and heritage of Rajasthan. It also provides a forum for the Rajasthani community of Canada to share, cherish and promote Rajasthani Culture, Literature, Art,Heritage and Values in tandem with those of Canadian ones. At the same time RANA Members have actively participated in other Organizations’ functions such as Panorama India, Canada Day, Holi,Deewali, ISKON’ Festival of India.RANA steps in to assist new immigrant RANA Members for smooth transitioning into the Canadian atmosphere through its support services such as information on education,employment, healthcare, housing and many more.
RANA organizes various cultural and social activities for the Rajasthani Communities in Canada. It also invites community members of other Socio-Cultural organizations to actively participate and contribute to the mission and goals of RANA. Our members strongly believe in harmony, support, inclusivity and equity. RANA fosters community well being for a vibrant living. Our Members are leaders in Politics, Entrepreneurship, Academics, Arts and Cultural fields in Canada.
