Reeta Sachdeva is a community activist, contributing her energy to many social causes, such as a Senior Club, Food Bank, and Indus Community Service.
Over the years, she has assisted in many multi-cultural festival celebrations, e.g., Holi, Baisakhi, Picnic, and Diwali, in social organizations and at work with other colleagues. She has actively served on Hindu Sabha Caucus during its Temple build-out from the mid-80s to its completion in the mid-90s. During this period, she also volunteered in prasad preparation (i.e., Langar or lunch) for Hindu Sabha Temple congregation.
She has retired from a career as an auditor for Canada Revenue Agency. She has raised three highly accomplished and educated children. (i.e., one has earned a master’s, the second is a software engineer, and the third earned a master’s from MIT and doctorate from Columbia University).
